The World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) expresses sorrow at the killing of nine people at the FedEx facility in Indianapolis. Many of these victims were Indian American followers of the Sikh tradition – Amarjit Kaur Sekhon, Jaswinder Kaur, Amarjit Kaur Johal, Jaswinder Singh.
A random act of violence such as this brings immeasurable suffering to the families of victims. We stand ready to help them in this hour of need. Such acts remind us that as a society, we must address mental health issues more holistically.
