WASHINGTON: A Hindu temple has been vandalised with hate message and swastika spray-painted on its wall in the US state of Washington, the latest incident that has shocked the community ahead of the Maha Shivaratri festival.The incident happened when unidentified miscreants sprayed swastika and painted “Get Out” on one of the walls of the temple in the Seattle Metropolitan area. Expressing their ‘deep anguish’ over attacks on Churches and “Ghar Waspsi” programme of Dharma Jagran Manch and other Sangh Parivar outfits, the Conference of the Catholic Bishops of India today said such incidents have raised concerns about a planned programme to undermine the Christian community as “second class” citizens in the country. The CCBI expressed this view even as the Bishops held a protest march in the city covering a distance of about one km with hundreds of people also joining them.
