Dear Enlightened Readers,
We presume all of us would have taken a fresh pledge on the occasion of the 68th Independence Day on August 15, 2014, to re-dedicate ourselves to the cause of the Nation – should we say, the Nation in crisis? It is only rivers and rivulets that make the ocean. Doing our own bit individually-even with devotion and dedication is not enough unless the end-product benefits the motherland.
We owe at least that much to the countless martyrs, who had laid down their lives for us to enjoy the fruits of freedom. Let us put in our mite to turn this freedom into true independence! That will be our “sa-shradhha (respectful) pronam” to those fiery patriots.August 15, also is the birthday of the revolutionary saint-Patriot Rishi Aurobindo. We bow to him on the occasion.
A major change in geopolitical situation has been the US coming forward to some check on the ISIS march. The Government of India have appealed to all to celebrate the Independence Day duly and have planned some week-long cultural programme.
