Upgrade for Iconic Nadi Hindu Temple

FIJI, July 12, 2017 (Fiji Sun): The Then India Sanmarga Ikya Sangam has approved capital projects of US$247,000 for the upgrade and beautification of the Sri Siva Subramanya Swami Temple in Nadi. This was agreed by the council of management during its meeting on Sunday in Nasinu. In June 2018 the Temple will celebrate its 24th Anniversary with the Maha Kumbabhishekam Pooja, and the capital works are part of this auspicious occasion.

The Sri Siva Subramanya Swami Temple is one of the largest Hindu Temples in the Southern Hemisphere and a landmark for the town of Nadi. Jai Narayan, chief executive officer of TISI Sangam said, Sangam’s upgrade of the Temple fits in well with Nadi’s efforts to become a city and beautify the township. He said the council of management is very appreciative of the efforts of the Temple Board as the full expenditure for the project is self-funded.
