‘If you were in other countries, ‘Sanatani’ people would have killed you !’- claims a character from the serial on ‘ZEE Marathi’
Mumbai : ‘ZEE Marathi’ TV channel telecasts a serial titled ‘Honar Soun Mi Ya Gharachi’ at 8.00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. In its episode telecast on 27th January, it was shown that a selfish leader of a so-called Hindu Organization called ‘Dharma-chetana’ makes a vile statement that ‘Thank your stars that you are born in India. If you were born in some other country, then ‘Sanatani’ people would have killed you!’ (So far people with progressive thinking used to describe old fashioned people as ‘Sanatani’ i.e. orthodox ; but now, people who are loyal to their culture are being branded as ‘Sanatani’ and compared with jihadi terrorists. Such statements shown in some TV serials indicate that few words are being misused by giving them a wrong intonation. If writers of such serials really have guts, they should say such things about jihadi fanatics who are really killing people ! Hindus need to realize the ploy of defamation of their Dharma through such serials – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
It is condemnable and is an insult of the pro-Hindu organizations who are working for protection of nation and Dharma. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has written to the director of this serial and ZEE Marathi TV channel about the same.
It has been stated in the HJS letter that ‘So far several agitations have been staged by Hindu organizations but none of them has ever threatened anyone. The organizations which are trying to stop denigration of Hindu Deities, in lawful manner, are unnecessarily being accused through serials with such dialogues. You have shown that Hindu organizations are indulging in hooliganism in the name of prevention of denigration of Deities and are selfish, threaten others so also, are working against companies for their closure.
In reality, Hindu organizations are doing no such things. It may be mentioned that the story-writer of this serial is Sou. Madhugandha Kulkarni, who is wife of director Paresh Mokashi of film ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’; therefore, she is purposely writing such things to create atmosphere against Hindu organizations and it is objectionable; therefore, we request you to stop such insult.’
Other statements hurting religious sentiments are :
1. Few thousands of people will lose their job if Dharma is to be protected.
2. So far, they have burnt your effigies; but in future, they (Hindu) may not hesitate to even burn you !
