The Hindu Young World Quiz, an integral part of The Hindu in School (THiS) programme held in 15 cities, is reaching the city. The regional and national finals of the multi-city quiz will be held at the J.N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, here on Thursday.
The Bangalore regional round is expected to attract students from Bangalore and from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The entry cards for the competition have been sent to the schools. Any two students from classes 7 to 9 can form a team. A school can send a maximum of four teams.
Participants must carry the entry cards to the venue without fail. Photocopies of entry cards will not be accepted. The participants are directed to be present at the venue by 9 a.m. in school uniforms. There will be spot registration. There is no entry fee.
The All-India Grand Finale of the event will also be held on the same day at the same venue after the Bangalore regional round. There are a host of prizes for winners and the audiences. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at 4.30 p.m.
