The sixth edition of The Hindu Education Plus pre-counselling session, a day-long event, will be held at Hotel Ramyas in the city on April 11.
The event will feature sessions by eminent educationists and academicians speaking about opportunities in higher education and requirements of the industry.
S. Sundarrajan, Director, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi, will be the chief guest at the inaugural.
S. Vaidhyasubramaniam, Dean-Planning and Development, SASTRA University, will be the guest of honour.
Jayaprakash A. Gandhi, Career Consultant, will address students on ‘courses to choose’, K. Alagu Sundaram, Director, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology, Thanjavur, will enlighten the students on ‘career opportunities in agri and food processing industry’, and P. Suresh Kumar, former Deputy Director of Employment, will speak on ‘career opportunities in government sector’. Ramesh Praba, Director, Galaxy Institute of Management, Chennai, will give a motivation talk.
Suresh Srinivasan, Vice President-Advertisement, The Hindu, will participate in the programme.
