NATYA MELA CHARITY SHOW
The Temple of Fine Arts Penang will be organizing a “Natya Mela” in conjunction with Deepavali on the 12th November 2017. The highlight will be the traditional Bharata Natyam repertoire performed by Shri Shankar Kandasamy, Dance Director of the Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur, HarshiniSukumaran, from Kuala Lumpur, Ananya M from Bangalore and AnangaManjari from Peru. AnangaManjari has been trained and mentored by her guru Shri Shankar Kandasamy.
Join us and be mesmerized by the group’s grasp of the technique and interpretation of the dance form.The main piece will be a Varnam on Devi Meenakshi and Goddess Durga as well as expressive items on Lord Muruga and Krishna.
Enjoy a sumptuous vegetarian spread at Annalakshmi and be transported into the world of traditional music.
