Justice Nooti Rammohana Rao, Judge of the AP High Court, has asserted that youth should emulate Swami Vivekananda as a role model and take lessons from Swami’s life which was a source of knowledge and education.

He inaugurated “Sadhu Sammellan”, a three-day conclave of saints and swamis from different parts of the country as part of Swami Vivekananda’s 150 birth anniversary at Arts College grounds on Saturday.

He said Swami Vivekananda had a special place among saints in the country. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, Justice Rammohan Rao said man was not a sinner by birth. He recalled that Swami Vivekananda said that Vedanta was nothing but conclusion of all Vedas and added that he unveiled the definition of Upanishads. He hailed the ideology of Vivekananda that even a dog should not go hungry in this country and he said those who were the root cause of poverty were traitors. He described Vivekananda as a man with great scientific temperament. He recalled the ideology of great saint that man could teach god only through serving human beings. He said Vivekananda had provided answers for all ills of society for all times.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Raghunanandaji Maharaj from Beluru Mutt in West Bengal said the maximum number of research works taken up on Sanatana dharma in the country had made India great. He said Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa emerged to study and explain dharma and spirituality. Sanatana Dharma was the original name of Hinduism, he said.

More than 4,000 followers of Swami Vivekananda attended the week-long celebrations.
