Lush green hills surround the campus where 180 Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh members continue with the daily sessions of their three-day organisational meet which opened on Wednesday in the picturesque campus of the Parvati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar school, about 20 kilometres from Nainital.
The walls along the gates of Saraswati Vihar are adorned with large pictures of temples including Kedarnath, Yamunotri, Jain Temple (Rajasthan).
Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Vaidya said it was an organisational meet to analyse Sangh’s expansion and the works being done by the RSS.
“This meeting is not for taking any decisions or passing resolutions. The three-day meet is for the Prant Pracharaks to discuss the progress on expansion of RSS in their respective areas,” Dr. Vaidya said.
“The acceptance of the RSS is increasing,” Dr. Vaidya said. In the past three years the number of ‘shakhas’ (daily gathering centres) have increased by 10,000.
Currently over 51,000 ‘shakhas’ are in existence across the country.
The official RSS website provides a provision for people who wish to join the RSS to fill and submit forms.
