After holding Chintan Shivir (a brainstorming session) here last year, the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) is gearing up for yet another important meeting, this time in Kanpur.
The three-day meeting, starting on February 15, will chalk out the organisation’s future strategy. The RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat, will interact with top leaders of its affiliate groups such as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), the Bajrang Dal, the Durga Vahini and Majdoor Sangh, VHP Awadh region secretary Bihari Mishra told journalists here.
On February 15, Mr. Bhagwat would address more than 20,000 RSS workers and lay out future plans for the organisation.
Though Mr. Mishra did not reveal the agenda of the meeting, sources say it would discuss issues such as the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, the Ram temple construction and ghar vapsi.
