THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has appointed a new Saha Prantha Kariavah(state joint secretary) in its efforts to further strengthen the activities. M Radhakrishnan, who had been serving as managing director of Janmabhumi daily, has been made the Saha Prantha Kariavah. The decision in this regard was taken at the annual ‘baitakh’ of the Sangh Parivar organisations held recently in Palakkad.
Prantha Kariavah Gopalan Kutty Master will continue in his post. Sankar Ram, an advocate from Kottayam and P N Easwaran, who have already been there as Saha Prantha Kariavahs, will be retained in the posts.
A 37-member team will lead the activities of the Parivar, according to sources in the Sangh. The services of a Vichar Pracharak, Subhash, has been made available to the BJP. He is expected to assist state organising secretary K R Umakanthan.
Govt Policies Flayed
According to sources, BMS leaders who attended the ‘baitakh’ have expressed strong displeasure over the labour and economic policies being followed by the new BJP dispensation at the Centre. The BMS leaders learnt to have told the ‘baitakh’ that they would convey their reservations to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister.
BJP leaders also learnt to have expressed their unhappiness over the difficulty in getting the attention of those in the Central Government. They said that there should be a united effort in raising the demands of the state.
All-India General Secretary of the RSS, Bhayaaji Joshi, was present throughout the week-long meeting held from June 15 to 21 in which over 200 state-level functionaries of the Parivar outfits attended.
