RSS Expresses Satisfaction Over Yogi Govt’s Performance

The state Bharatiya Janata Party held a coordination meeting with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Lucknow on Monday in which Sangh leaders expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Yogi government. This is the first such meet between BJP and RSS leaders after Yogi Adityanath took over as the Chief Minister on March 19.

A senior BJP leader told ‘The Pioneer’ in Lucknow on Monday that RSS leaders voiced their satisfaction over the Yogi government’s performance and maintained that the one-month rule was sending positive message which should continue. “However, the RSS felt that the government should improve on the law and order front and make police and district officials responsible for crimes and irregularities. They felt that police were still lethargic in reaching the crime scene. The reaction time of police needs a lot of improvement,” a source said.

Co-general secretary of RSS Dattatreya Hoshbole, Kshetra pracharak Shiv Narayn and senior RSS leader Kaushalji met a BJP delegation, led by state president Keshav Prasad Maurya. Senior BJP leader Sunil Bansal was also present. There is an understanding between the RSS and the BJP that both will hold coordination meeting once a month. In this meeting, the RSS will apprise BJP of the people’s reaction about Yogi government. The BJP, in turn, can educate RSS leaders about the schemes it wants to introduce and take suggestions from Sangh leaders.
