RSS Chief calls for better programmes for weaker sections

RSS chiefRashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat has called upon the government to evolve better programmes for welfare of the weaker sections of our society after a thorough understanding of Ekatma Manav Darshan of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

He was speaking after releasing a book ‘Karunya Rishi’ based on life and works of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay published as a part of the Birth Centenary Celebrations of the modern day sage in Nagpur last evening.

Dwelling extensively on philosophy and logic of ancient Indian thought, Dr. Bhagwat said that it is based on integration of body, mind and soul and promotes conscience for welfare of the entire society. He said, the philosophy envisaged by Pandit Upadhyay promotes integration of human being, society, nature and soul. He observed that the philosophy rooted in compassion is not restrictive and could change its form as per the requirements of the modern day situation.

Senior Journalist and thinker Mr. M. G. Vaidya recalled his association with Panditji and narrated some incidents to throw light on his way of thinking. Propagating the cause of ‘Antyodaya’ i.e. development of the person on the last rung of the social ladder, Panditji had projected the thought of giving up reservation by those who have got its benefits for two generations so that other disadvantaged people could also get the benefit, he added. Noted litterateur Mrs. Asha Bage, Social Worker Dr. Girish Gandhi and Author Dr. Kumar Shastri were also present on this occasion.
