Members of the minority communities should identify their cultural tradition, dating more than 10,000 years, and return to their roots, international secretary general of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Champat Rai has said. “The VHP does not intend to forcibly re-convert people to Hinduism. India is a democratic country and all religions have the freedom to exist here. People are free to convert and re-convert and so there is no need for anyone to feel piqued only when re-conversions take place,” he said.
Mr. Rai was talking to mediapersons at a State-level camp organised at Kottarakara on Saturday, as part of the VHP’s golden jubilee celebrations.
