‘ Somewhere one caste-organisation is seen to be getting consolidated , somewhere some other of the same kind are indulged in consolidating theirs’ caste. Truth of the matter is that it is no consolidation of any organisation but a division of Hindu-community . To work for the caste could be a better thing, but not best of all. We are Hindus; we are ultimately one , this spirit alone should reign supreme in our inner self.’ This is what in the form of a post viral in the social-media few months back .
The caste led division mentioned above had been one of main causes of losing the battles with the invaders in the past , we know. How low a level the things then underwent could be understood from the words of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. He says- ‘ The nationality that an individual adopt to have the sense of glory, the urge for that glory subsides in the feeling of caste and sect itself. If caste is secured everything is secured. The Hindus got to have so entrapped themselves in this mentality that they not only lost their country but in the name of caste and so-called caste-dharma they had only their remnants left in the ashes.’ (P- 323; ‘Sanskruti ke char adhayaye’)
However, amid what said above , there also grew a section of the people who have gradually started realizing the importance of casteless consolidation of community. We see, Hindus though found to be indulged not in any part of the country , but on their religious occasions the incident of stone pelting is like a normal nationwide occurrences. On the highway of Bhopal – Guna of Madhy Pradesh lies a Tehsil headquarter named Douraha. Every Tuesday morning procession or ‘Prabhat Feri’ is organized with the flag bearing Hanumanji’s image being on forefront held high by devotees. As due to demographic imbalance the city is already being affected with tension, but the last Tuesday the things took ugly turn as some miscreants pelted stones on the peaceful Hanuman- procession . But what happened thereafter in response that is required to be followed by the entire nation. Only then there will no longer be the need for depending upon Police alone to bring the miscreants under the heel.
Hindu community of Douraha organized a meeting joined by the prominent persons of all castes. Subsequently, Omprakash Jatav from Jatav community; Bhagwan Singh Ahirwar from Ahirwar community; Kapil Sen, Sen community; Pradeep Sharma from Brahmins’; as also Ravi Kushwah, Ramdayal Mina, Chander Mali, Anshul Sisodia and several others went the police station in the form of a protest rally to hand over the memorandum . How police administration could have taken the matter lightly in view of protest rose from such a wider section of people of town. The police soon sprang into action, and it is reported that it has even begun to move ahead in their style of function .
