Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) hold discussing women power conference in Bhopal

BHOPAL: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) does not permit membership to women in the organization, but on Sunday, it called a conference of women from varied social backgrounds for an interaction with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Those invited to ‘Stree Shakti Samvad’ included women employees and wives of executives of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited ( BHEL), Railways women’s association, the IAS and IPS wives association, women members of the Rotary Club, Lions’ Club and women from various NGOs. Along with ladies of the high society, the organisation also invited women residing in slum areas who could speak about their experiences.

Though media was not permitted entry into conference, it was learnt that invitees spoke on issues related to family welfare, the importance of the women in guarding the culture of our nation and the invasion of foreign cultures that are fast changing our society.
