FAIZABAD / AYODHYA : Announcing that Ram temple would be built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya said the hurdles in its construction would be removed either by Supreme Court’s verdict or by a negotiated settlement. He was in Ayodhya on Thursday to take part in a workshop of BJP activists. He also paid a visit to offer prayer at the disputed Ram Janambhoomi shrine.
About the role of the BJP in the construction of Ram temple, replied, “The Ayodhya issue is under the consideration of Supreme Court and we must wait for the final judgement…it has also given a chance for negotiated settlement and the temple would be constructed with mutual understanding,” he said.
While talking to journalists, Maurya said, “Triloki Ke Nath Bhagwan Ram Ka Bhawya Mandir Jaisa Hona Chahiye, Jald Ban Jayega,” purpotedly hinting at VHP leader Triloki Nath Pandey who is one of the claimants of the disputed land. Four other Hindu parties, Nirmohi Akhara, Hindu Mahasabha, Rajendra Singh and Ram Janam Bhumi Punuruddhar Samiti, are also claimants of the same land.
Maurya added that illegal encroachment on government land and public properties would be removed and that’s why an anti-land mafic squad had been constituted. Maurya said that he pays tribute to CRPF jawans who killed in Sukma ambush and our government is trying to eliminate Naxalism from the country.
