PPP won’t allow any damage to Clifton temple

KARACHI: Advisor to Pakistan Peoples Party Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for Minority Affairs Surendar Valasai has said his Party is fully committed to the protection of the worship places of minorities across the country and is fully cognizant of the issue of Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple in Karachi Clifton.

In a press statement, Surendar Valasai said PPP has always led the struggle for minority rights and is the only political party where people from minority community enjoy equal rights in its ranks and file.
He said PPP won’t allow any damage or harm to the Clifton temple and its structure under any circumstances and stressed that those who are bent upon politicizing the issue should wait for the technical aspect of the development work and its impact on the temple structures.

Surendar Valasai said Hindus, Christians, Dalits, Sikhs and other minorities living in Pakistan are not orphans as PPP leadership has always stood for their rights and protection.

He said a elected representatives belonging to Hindu community including PPP Minority Wing Sindh President Dr Lalchand Ukrani, Ministers and MPAs have visited the said temple twice and will furnish their report to Party leadership.
