Dear Friends,

Jai Hind!

Subject: Mamata At It Again

We are aware Mamata has converted herself to Islam. Her continuous Muslim appeasement policy is also known. Anything that goes to benefit Islam, her new religion, would benefit her friends and guides are close to her heart. That is understandable. As it is said, a new converted wants to carry her or his religion on her or on his sleeves. In that sense, Mamata Banerjee and Islam are made for each others. The Hindus in West Bengal are onlookers only, all the time thinking to save their skins or pay with their lives in case they happen to make any dissenting noise.

But, now Mamata has scaled new height. The second Editorial in The Pioneer of June 3, 2016 tells the story. It is titled, “A Dangerous Appointment”. The sub-title is; ‘For Muslim votes, Didi brings Jamaati To Power’.

The appointee is one Siddiqullah Chowdhury. He has been put in independent charge of Parliamentary Affairs and also made Minister of State for Education. Siddiqullah Chowdhury is the head of the West Bengal Branch of the Jamiat-e-Hind, a pan-Indian organisation headquartered in New Delhi. Let us read the brief Editorial:

A DANGEROUS APPOINTMENT

For Muslim votes, Didi brings Jamaati to power

During her first term as West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee had disappointed, if not frightened, many with her blatant minority appeasement and vote bank politics of the lowest order. As she was sworn into office for a second term, it was difficult to imagine that she could possibly stoop any lower than the already low benchmark she had set in this field. Yet, this is precisely what has happened with the appointment of Siddiqullah Chowdhury as Minister of State (with Independent Charge) for Education, Library and Parliamentary Affairs. Chowdhury has been the head of the West Bengal branch of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, a pan-India organisation headquarted in New Delhi, for more than three decades, and manages a State-wide network of about a 1,000 madarssas, many of which have dubious educational records. His organisation has about 30 lakh members and he claims that he brings to the table an assured percentage of votes in the State where Muslims account for about 27 per cent of the total population. Chowdhury’s long association with the JuH notwithstanding, his past politics is also worrisome. Apart from his laundry list of demands for State dole that would in effect cater exclusively to the Muslim community and perpetuate the vile politics of minority appeasement, Chowdhury attracted national attention in 2014 when, after the Burdwan blast which unearthed an insidious plot to topple the Government of Bangladesh, he warned the investigating agencies to keep away from madarssas. Chowdhury has also been critical of the incumbent in Dhaka, no matter the fact that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been a staunch supporter and friend of India’s, helaping New Delhi crackdown on militants and Islamists alike. But Chowdhury is upset that Prime Minister Hasina has gone after the razakars he calls them ‘religious leaders’ who committed crimes against humanity during the 1971 liberation war, and has urged all parties to support the Jamaatis in Bangladesh. It doesn’t take a stretch of imagination to see how a Minister like Chowdhury will impact policy-making and why this should be a matter of serious concern.

Let us recall that it was the Jammat from Bangladesh that was behind the October 2, 2014, incident in Burdwan district of West Bengal. And one Imran Khan, the self-confessed founder of the banned SIMI, was involved in that. Incidentally, Imran happens to be a Pakistani citizen. He was born in East Pakistan, now Bangladesh.

Mrs. Mamata Banerjee has sent this Pakistani citizen, the founder member of the SIMI, to the Rajya Sabha and so, Imran Khan is now an Indian MP, a situation without any parallel in history. We have kept the Centre informed of this development.

Mamata Banerjee had been playing with the security and safety of India for long. We have pointed this out on a number of occasions, urging that West Bengal has to be saved despite Mamata Banerjee and for the sake of security of India. West Bengal enjoys a very strategically location in the topography of India.

We are not hopeful of any remedial action from the politicians. But, do we not have any bureaucrat, either in the Centre or in West Bengal, to take appropriate measures against this threat to the country? Cannot someone amongst them make bold to prevent Mamata Banerjee from playing with the security of the nation? The appointment of the noted Islamist Saddicullah is fraught with dangerous security implications.

We also wonder how the national mainstream dailies did not think it fit to cover this information, that ought to have been a front page news any day.

Are our journalist friends in Kolkata aware of it. Or, are they scared to cover this for the security of their personal safety, which is understandable. They could have at least passed on the information to their respective head office in Delhi.

Well, Friends, we hope you agree with our submission. Could we then request you to pursue the matter from your side at any appropriate level. Some of you must be knowing some MPs, who could be of help.

Vandemataram,

Your sevak,
