Dear Friends,
Subject: WORLD WAR ON: THE WORLD AT WAR WITH RADICAL/FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAM
Today, we are going to tread, rather boldly, hope not foolishly, on a subject on which no analysts seem to have commented upon so far. This is primarily because what wish is: to share and expose the truth, difficult to come by, especially in the larger geopolitical field. But, as the situation was developing, this was due. And, it has now become very very necessary.
Questions are simple why and what for? Truthfully speaking, answers also are simple. As you sow, so you reap. Some commentator has called 13/11 a civilisational turning point in Western democracies.
We have in our series covered the sudden rise and then steady growth of the ISIS. They are now in effect overtaken their mother-body, AL Qaeda.
The primary issue is: what does the phenomenon of ISIS mean? The ISIS declaredly believe in what Prophet Mohammed had said in his classic production “Quran”. Without going into the semantics of the interpretation of this scripture, many would vouchsafe that is the whole truth. ISIS is, for all practical purposes, a radical and fundamentalist form of Islam. And, in the world after 13/11 in France, it has become apparent that the world has united to fight this radical form of Islam.
The UN has resolved on November 21 to fight the ISIS together. That means the world is now set at war against radical Islam. There is no need any more for being “politically correct”. The threat is huge, is increasing and is lethal. The fact that the fundamentalists are less in number does not matter. It is this active minority that matters or creates history. On the other, the silent majority becomes irrelevant. It is, indeed, remarkably easy for a violent minority to totally ignore the “dubious” majority, some amongst whom could be moderate. The former, can totally decimate the quiet majority. The fact that the majority among them is silent or do not participate in acts of annihilation becomes immaterial. That has been the lesson of history.
The 13/11 has not happened in a day. As we have reported, it was waiting to happen, at least since the Charlie Hebdo days. Growing but steady Islamisation of France has made people wonder what has happened to the city of Paris heretofore known for its arts and culture. France or for that matter, the entire “asylum- seekers’- bug-hit Europe got confused and lost its sense of defence. No wonder “asylum seekers” or war-experienced veterans formed part of the gang of attackers in Paris.
Actually, this migrant issue in the EU is also a contributory factor to this war. Virtually prompted or initially “dictated” by the German Chancellor, all EU countries came to resent the migrants, all of whom are followers of Islam. Some among them were certainly among the fundamentalists or were radical Muslims.
Perhaps, it would be more correct that fundamentalist and radical form of Islam, as represented by the ISIS, has been allowed to grow and grow. So, whatever be their speeches or actions like airstrikes by the US-led alliance or the Saudi group, a sense of reality dawned only on the ISIS with Russia having joined the battle. The ISIS suddenly changed their cry, “Go for the Russians”. Not that they have forgotten the Americans. Despite the Saudis taking part in air-invasions, ISIS have never raised any voice against the former.
All this makes it clear that big powers like the US or the Sunni supreme Saudi Arabia were insincere or are playing “war, war” games. The battle at the subliminal level was the ongoing fight for supremacy on the part of Sunni Saudi over their minority Shia countries.
Even when this “War” is on, we hope for an end to this cataclysm. But, we must call spade a spade. It is now a WAR between the rest of the world and the radical or fundamentalist form of Islam and not limited to its external manifestation known as the ISIS. But for the “silent” minority among the Muslim, it would have qualified to be termed as the “War Between The World And Islam As Such”.
Pious statements like: keep religion separate from terror are smart and it is easy to make. But, the harsh reality is it is good in its purity of thought but unrealistic in life. As it has been beautifully stated by a commentator “People say it’s important to keep religion out of the peace process in West Asia but you can’t have peace process without religion. You can’t have politics without religion in West Asia! It’s impossible. Faith is our common ground.”
Friends, we would look forward to some good things to come out of this war, if taken to the finish and with the hope and assurance, it will end in favour of the world powers. If nothing else, the world will then wake up to save the planet from the fratricidal war imposed by a handful of self-deceiving or being misguided by some big powers for the selfish thought of enjoying and ensuring enjoyment in continuum or by some brethren for some sectarian interests only.
We could then live in peace and harmony at least for a few generations. Leader like the French President, right now the wounded tiger, in the West and the Indian Prime Minister in the East, should be able to ensure this. Could it be also anticipated that some among the silent minority among the Muslim fraternity, would emerge from this historic “duel” to effect some changes and modernisations in Islam (heresy or more correctly apostasy now) so that they believe in the simple policy of “live and let live”?
Well, Friends, we hope we have not led you to the garden path. As far as we see, the “WAR” has certainly set in. All of us on the side of the world powers will now have to join and fight on till the finish.
IT IS ALMOST LIKE WE OR THEY.
