Sri-kshetra Aundha Nagnath, Hingoli : Out of 12 ‘Jyotirlingas’, ‘Shri-kshetra Aundh Nagnath’ is the 8th ‘Jyotirling’, but police have issued a ‘fatwa’ in the name of security reasons !
There are 3 doors for entering the temple; but it has been decided to keep only one door open in the name of security, when millions of devotees throng to this place on Shravan Somwar and it is likely to cause lot of inconvenience to devotees. (Have police ever dared to issue such ‘fatwa’ on the occasion of religious festivals of non-Hindus ? And even if they issue it, they know what would be its repercussions. Hindus are, however, over-tolerant; therefore, such restrictions are imposed only on them ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
District Superintendent of Police Kailas Kanase has sent a letter to Shri Nagnath Sansthan in which the above directions have been given.
It has been stated in the letter that …..
1. The height of compound wall of the temple premises should be raised for security of the temple. (What is the use of giving such instruction at the last moment when Shravan was starting on the following day? If police were so much concerned about the security of this temple, they should have given at least 6 months notice to the temple management for taking necessary action and for raising height of the compound wall; but such adequate time was not given; therefore, this letter seems to be only a farce by police to later raise their hands claiming that they had instructed the temple management. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
2. During the period of fair, only one door will be kept open where metal detector will be fixed and only through this door, devotees should be allowed to enter. (Are police going to undertake measures to prevent any dangerous person or terrorist from coming even till the door of the temple ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
3. Devotees will be allowed to enter after passing through a security check.
4. If necessary, another door will be opened and metal detector will be fixed even on that door. (Then why are police not fitting metal detectors on all 3 doors as precautionary measure ? If there is stampede due to keeping only one door open, are police going to take its responsibility ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
5. Huge security arrangement will be made; but the ‘sansthan’ should also engage security guards. (Despite police security, why should temple have additional security persons ? Or Superintendent of Police has no faith in his own staff ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
