Report by Odisha Diary bureau, Bhubaneswar: A one day State Level Hindu Adhiveshan was organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti today at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bhubaneswar. The topic of the Adhiveshan was the establishment of Hindu Rashtra. Speakers from all over the state exhorted the need of India being a Hindu Rashtra.
The Hindu Convention was started with great enthusiasm. Shri Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson of the Samiti spoke about the growing threats to Hindu Dharma. In the first session, Krishna Patra Guru spoke on topic of ‘Protection of our culture’. Anil Dhir, the National Secretary of the Bharat Raksha Manch spoke of the growing menace of illegal Bangladeshi immigration both in the state and the country. He described the modus operandi of the illegal immigrants and gave a detailed scenario of how there are affecting the very economy, society and politics of the country. Sarat Jaisingh, President of the Konark Surakshya Samiti described the growing apathy of the government towards Hindu temples.
Advocate Prasanna Nanda spoke about the Odisha government’s temple demolition exercise in Cuttack and the need for awareness of the rights and duties of the citizens. Murali Sharma, President of the Baitarani Bachao Andolan gave an interesting talk on how important rivers were being destroyed due to government decision to give water to industries.
Shri Pratap Sarangi, MLA, gave a moving speech on the failure of the government to implement the Cow Slaughter Act. The rampant slaughter of cows and the reduction of the cattle population will spell doom for the people of the nation.
Shri Vinay Panwalkar spoke of the massive changes that are occurring in the mindset of the people, especially the youth of the country. He elaborated the injustice done to Hindu organisations. We are not against Muslims but we are against those who attack Hindus, oppress Hindu women and kill cows. Every Hindu should remember that his prime duty is protection of his Dharma. If we do not come together for establishment of Hindu Nation now, we should remember that there would be such difficult time ahead that if we apply ‘tilak’, we would be jailed.
At the concluding session, a 10 Resolution Announcement was made which was unanimously approved by all those present. This included the demand for the arrest of the killers of Swami Lakshmananda Saraswati . An exhibition too was held at the premises which highlighted the important aspects of Hinduism.
Shri Prakash Malondkar, Shri Sriram Kane, Shri Vinayak Shanbag, Shri Chittaranjan Sural and Shri Anand Maharana of the Samiti too attended the Adhiveshan. The meeting was attended by Hindu activists from all over the state.
