N-E India reels under conversions’

df-goa-4PONDA: Anti-national elements are hatching a conspiracy to divide Bharat (India) by creating a nationwide network and the situation in north-eastern states has become serious due to continuous intrusions and conversions, said Bapan Chandra Debnath, general secretary of Assam-based Hindu Yuva Manch.

Addressing Hindu leaders and activists on the “plight of Hindus in various states and related remedies” on the second day of the national Hindu convention at Ramnathi, Ponda, on Sunday, Debnath said the non-Hindu population in north-eastern states has been increased in a planned manner.

Anti-national attitudes are developing. The population of non-Hindus in Nagaland has crossed 90% due to religious conversions, Debnath alleged.
