The famous Hindu temple in Maran, Pahang is not facing any risk of demolition as claimed by certain quarters viralling statements in social media and Whatsapp following a notice from Registrar of Societies (ROS).

Speaking to Malaysia Outlook, Sri Marathandavar Bala Dhandayuthapani temple committee confirmed that they did receive the notice from ROS and will comply accordingly as requested by them.

It is also learnt that the temple committee management in due time will submit all the relevant documents as requested by ROS.

Deregistration by ROS of the Maran Temple Association is a result of an on-going dispute between 2 belligerent factions within the temple committee.

A group has falsely accused the Maran Temple Association chairman P.Raman of mismanaging temple funds.

The statement also irresponsibly put the blame on the present government of the day and capitalising this issue to create hatred among the Indians.

The temple committee also confirmed the daily prayers are conducted as usual.

The Hindu temple existence almost 120 years is famous for its ‘Panguni Uthiram’ festival which occurs during the month of March and April widely celebrated by the Hindus.
