Maoists gun down JAP jawan on the eve of Diwali

On the eve of Diwali,Jharkhand Armed Police were in tears after its jawan was killed this morning in an encounter with the Maoists near Jamshedpur.

The encounter reportedly took place in between Jiyan and Hariyan villages in Ghatsila sub-division early morning on Saturday.

In fact,the security forces were engaged in a routine operation in the Maoist hit area when an encounter took place.”After the forces reached there the Maoists started firing on them”,said Jamshedpur SSP Richard Lakra.

Prakash Rai,a constable of JAP-1.was killed in the encounter,said Lakra.

Reprts said security forces led by senior officials had rushed to the spot and launched a raids to track down the ultras.No arrest was made so far.

The body of Rai is slated to reach his home tomorrow-the day of Diwali.
