Mangaluru, Jan 31: The Mangaluru taluk unit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) took out a route march (Patha Sanchalan) in the city on Sunday January 31.
The route march started from Nehru Maidan early morning and passed via State Bank, Bunder, Car Street temple square, Hampankatta junction and culminated back at Nehru Maidan.
The annual route march was supposed to be held on the day of Vijayadashami, but it was cancelled due to heavy rain and rescheduled for January 31.
Nearly 1,500 RSS workers took part in the march and performed drill at the venue.
Mangaluru zilla sanghachalak Dr Sathish Rao, south provincial Sanghachalak Dr Vaman Shenoy, convenor P S Prakash and others were present.
