A leading Hindu spiritual leader, humanitarian and visionary, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, will be in the country for three days. Ms Mata Amritanandamayi is popularly known as Amma or Mother, for her selfless love and compassion. According to her organising committee spokesperson Vijay Kumar, Amma will be in Kenya between April 16 and 19. She will host free public programmes at the Oshwal Community Centre in Nairobi on the April 17 and 18. She is set to visit the Amrita Centre- a children’s educational and orphanage facility run by her charitable trust.
