Karnataka : Morphed image of Sadhvi Saraswati on Facebook – Case filed against youth

Bantwal, Feb 7: A case has been registered against a youth for allegedly uploading a morphed obscene image of Sadhvi Saraswati on Facebook.

As per the complaint filed by VHP and Bajrang Dal, Mohammed Naufal (24), a resident of B Mooda village in Bantwal taluk, defamed Sadhvi Saraswati by creating an obscene image of her and uploading it on Facebook.

“It is indeed very painful that such an obscene image has been created of Sadhvi Saraswatiji, who is like a mother to the entire Hindu populace. Immediate action must be taken against the accused and the same must be informed to the public,” urged the complaint.

“This act is a planned attempt to ruin the Hindu Samajotsava that is going to be held on March 1. We will not be responsible if any untoward incidents take place in the coming days because of this,” the complainants warned.

“Hence, the matter must be probed thoroughly and suitable action must be taken against the accused,” they stated.

Based on the complaint, the Bantwal town police registered a case against Noufal under Section 66 (A) of the IT Act.
