HJS effect : BCCI renders apology for distorting India’s map

Mumbai : Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) had engraved distorted map of India on ‘Border- Gavaskar Cup’ in March 2013 wherein part of Jammu- Kashmir and Andaman- Nicobar islands were omitted from the map. ( Indians lack patriotism; therefore, such distortion of Indian map takes place through different media ! Such incidents will not stop unless all Indians unite ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat ) The Company has stopped distortion by taking note of protest letter sent by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). ( Owing to HJS’ base of righteousness, even big establishments have to accept their mistakes. Will powerful pro-Hindu organizations take some hint from such incidents ?- Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )
1. This ‘Cup’ was presented to India on India winning cricket series with Australia. Distorted map of India was engraved on this Cup; therefore, HJS had sent a letter to the office of this Company pointing out distortion raising queries like ‘is this Cup made by Australia or Pakistan ? Do BCCI’s members viz. Sharad Pawar, Laluprasad Yadav, Farrukh Abdullah, Arun Jaitley, Rajeev Shukla etc. approve of this map?’ A copy of this letter was sent to Central Home Minister and ‘Surveyor General of India’.
2. Taking note of this letter, Central Youth and Sports Ministry wrote a letter to BCCI advising it to take action as per HJS’ letter. No response was, however, received from the Company and Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the District Coordinator of HJS sent a reminder letter to BCCI, lodging a complaint with Marine Lines Police Station.
3. BCCI’s Secretary, Sanjay Patel wrote a letter to Shri. Shivaji Vatkar on 26th February 2014 stating that the ‘Border- Gavaskar Cup’ was sponsored and made by Australia. They have inadvertently engraved such wrong map. ( Will BCCI and Government show guts to take Australia to task for engraving distorted map of India ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )
4. Shri. Vatkar called Shri. Sanjay Patel, thanked him, and asked for photograph of changed ‘Cup’ as a proof. A letter to that effect was also sent to BCCI. Shri. Patel also thanked for pointing out the mistake and promised to give proof of changed ‘Cup’; but so far nothing has been done. ( How to believe such BCCI ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )
