The 4th Lafayette Holi Festival was held Saturday in Girard Park.
Holi, is a religious festival celebrated by Hindus in early Spring, and is known as the Festival of Colors. It is primarily observed in India and countries with large followers of Hinduism.
This event combines Indian and Cajun spirit. It’s a festival where you can let your inner child spring out, and enjoy the simple pleasure of coloring others, both, friends and strangers.
Holi has some similarities with Easter. Both festivals are celebrated in early Spring and have themes of vibrant colors.
