Mumbai – Nothing has been found so far in case of bomb blast which occurred outside Faraskhana police station. Moreover, NCP leaders have been pressurizing police to implicate pro-Hindu organizations in this case. NIA has clearly stated that terrorist organizations were involved in the blast. Even then, attempts can be made to implicate ‘Hindu Rashtra Sena’. Incompetency of Pune police has been exposed even in conducting investigations in earlier cases of blasts and serious crimes. The above views have been expressed by advocate Sanjeev Punalekar, national Secretary of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad in representations submitted to the Prime Minister, Central Home Minister and Chief Minister of Maharashtra requesting them to conduct in-depth inquiry into all these cases.
- A news was published before arrest of a terrorist named Abu Jindal, in the year 2012 that 40 Muslim youth from Maharashtra were missing and they must have either gone to Pakistan for training in terrorist activities or have gone underground waiting for right opportunity to blast bombs. What action has been taken by anti-terrorist squad of Maharashtra in this case ?
- Abu Jindal is a resident of Beed and he went to Bangla Desh and then to Pakistan via Nepal where he got training in terrorist activities. He was one of the main constituents of terrorist activity of 26th September in Mumbai. Who were the people supporting Abu Jindal ? Issues like who extended financial help and other help to him for going to Pakistan are still not investigated. In short, it can be said that Pune police have helped the supporters of Abu Jindal by not declaring their names.
- Four bomb blasts occurred on Jungalee Maharaj Road in Pune. Later, Dr. Narendra Dabholkar was shot dead. It was stated by Intelligence Department that his organization had connections with naxalites and there are many cases of misappropriation of funds pending against him; but Pune police did not investigate in that direction and tried, under political pressure, to implicate pro-Hindu organizations into the killing of Dr. Dabholkar.
- Pune police announced that the blasts were of lower intensity and it was only a mischief and thus tried to reduce their gravity; but later, it was found that the blasts were of high intensity.
- In this case, police took into custody a person named Dayanand Patil who was a converted Muslim. It was found that he had gone to Jordan on number of occasions; still he was let loose. This case is a mystery for citizens.
- Police have exhibited utter carelessness in this case. They handled the cycle used in blast without using hand gloves, so finger prints could not be taken. It has been observed from photographs that police investigating on the spot, wore bullet-proof jacket instead of anti-bomb dress and they did not use necessary equipment for finding explosives.
- In the same case, later, Bunty Shabbir Sheikh, son of NCP’s municipal councilor from Shrirampur was arrested. Many crimes like murder, attempt to murder, chief of sand-mafia, holding weapons illegally etc. have been registered against him. He is always seen in the company of NCP leaders. He was arrested even in case of having connections with ISI agent Arif Lakhani. After his arrest, papers and films related to army were confiscated from him. District Administration and Assistant District Police Superintendent, Sunita Thakare had, time and again, requested the State Government to detain Bunty Shabbir Sheikh under MOCCA; but taking into account his relations with NCP leaders, no action has been taken against him.
- In case of Isharat Jehan encounter, police have not yet declared the name of Pune businessman who had provided vehicle to Isharat Jehan and her accomplices.
All the above incidents show that even bomb blast at Faraskhana would be used for political gains, considering the forthcoming State Assembly elections and for which ‘Hindu Rashtra Sena’ could be blamed. Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad has, therefore, requested in its letter to keep an eye on actions of Pune police and NCP leaders so as to foil their ploy.
