Families gathered for a service to celebrate the Holi, or Phagwah, festival at the Schenectady Hindu Temple on Sunday. The celebration continues on Saturday in Grout Park in Schenectady, where members of the Hindu community will gather to take part in another ritual of the Holi festival. Participants will douse each other with colored powders reflecting what nature has planned for Earth in the near future with the blooming of flowers of different colors.
