MORRISVILLE, N.C. — North Carolinians continue relief efforts for survivors of the earthquake in Nepal.
The Hindu Society of North Carolina is collecting blankets to send to survivors.
They have also collected about $50,000 to aid in relief efforts.
“It was very unfortunate. Many people lost lives today. More than fifty people died and more than a thousand got injured. People came out of the house.. those who already lost their house were in a very devastating situation today,” said Trilok Pillai, of The Hindu Society of NC.
The Nepal Center of North Carolina is also raising money to aid earthquake survivors.
