Hindu festival at Sadhu Bela

pakistan_mapSunday, June 15, 2014 – Sukkur—Commissioner Sukkur Muhamamd Abass Baloch and Deputy Commissioner Shehzad Tahir Thaheem on Friday last jointly inaugurated the three-day 151th festival of Baba Bankhandi Maharaj at a Hindu temple, located in Sadhu Bela island, in Indus River.

Hindus from across Pakistan were participating in the festival. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Sukkur stressed the need to promote atmosphere of mutual understanding.

He noted that the Sadho Bela temple was a sacred place for Hindus and represented hope for everyone.
