Hindu Congress of America strongly condemns xenophobia of Dairy Queen franchisee
Hindu Congress of America strongly condemns the actions of the Dairy Queen franchisee, Mohammed Dar where he has exhibited clear xenophobic attitudes towards the Hindu community of America. Calling us Monkeys and not driven by laws is very similar to rhetoric against Jews in Nazi Germany and more recently in may places in the Middle East. This rhetoric is a precursor to to ethnic cleansing whether it be the pogroms against Jews in Russia and Europe or against Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
What is even more alarming is the rather cavalier and hands-off attitude taken by the Dairy Queen corporation regarding this serious matter in a public place. We doubt that the brand would be as cavalier if for example a Swastika (symbol of peace and prosperity in amongst Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs) would be prominently posted by their franchisee? We call upon DQ corporation to strongly condemn the franchisee and implement the provisions of their franchise agreement THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE and ensure that such acts are not repeated again.
