After facing many hurdles Sandalwood’s recent release Nimbehuli had finally got released across the state. The movie, which is getting mixed reviews from critics and audience is now in trouble for using Hindu’s deity Sri Rama’s name in a track. Track ‘Rama rama first night alle traffic jama,’ which has been composed by Kannada’s famous poet Dundiraj is in the limelight. Pro-Hindu activist and Sri Rama sene chief Pramod Muthalik has demanded to remove the song from the movie, as it is affecting the religious sentiments of Hindus across the country.
“Director Hemanth Hegde has used Lord Sri Rama’s name in the song. The song is very obscene. How can one use the gods name in the song, which is like an item number?” asks Pramod, who had also urged director Hemanth to remove the song from the movie. (Nimbehuli Movie Review).
Talking about the incidence poet Dundiraj has said that the song, which was penned by him for Nimbehuli was having the different lyrics, but the lyrics have been changed now. “I don’t known why Hemanth is doing this. He is very good friend of mine,” said Dundiraj. However answering to all these allegations, director Hemanth Hegde has said, “The song is in market from past one year, nobody was having the problem then. It is not my publicity stunt, but Pramod Muthalik and others are raising the issue to keep themselves in news.”
