The Union home ministry has asked the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to provide ‘X’ category security to four Punjab Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionaries. Sources said that intelligence reports warning of possible attacks on Rameshwar Dass (Ludhiana), Pramod (Amristar,) Ramgopal (Jalandhar) and Kuldeep Ji Bhagat (Jalandhar) has prompted the move that comes after RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja’s murder in Jalandhar.

Police patrolling in the area has also been increased.’’
