Famous writer wrote about Hinduism, Malladi Subbamma passed away

MalladiSubbammaFamous Telugu writer and social activist Malladi Subbamma (90) passed away on Thursday after illness. She penned down nearly 60 novels and Hethuvadam, Kantikiranalu, Cheekati Velugu, Women’s movement and association, Hinduism and Women are some of them to her credit.

Born on August 2, 1924 at Pothardhakam in Repella of Guntur district married MV Rama Murthy. She fought for the upliftment of women community and participated in anti-liquor movement. She worked as editor for ‘Stree Swetcha’ paper.

Literary community expressed condolences over her death.
