Shri Ashok Singhaljee is the Patron of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). Bhismpitamah of Hindu resurgence movement. He was President and Working President of the organisation for over 20 years. He was born in Agra. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Institute of Technology, Benaras Hindu University , he became a pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He worked in various locations around Uttar Pradesh, becoming a prant pracharak for Delhi and Haryana. He was deputed to the VHP, becoming its joint general secretary. In 1984, he became its General Secretary and, later, the Working President and President.
