HENB | Bhadrachalam | Dec 20, 2015:: Thousands of devotees are likely to throng the temple town of Bhadrachalam to watch the grand spectacle of Teppotsvam to start from  Monday towards. Bhadrachalam town is witnessing an unprecedented rush of devotees for Mukkoti Ekadasi celebrations from Thursday.

The holy idols of deities lord Rama, Sita and Laxman are placed in a decorated ’swan boat’ as part of traditional Teppotsvam.

The Hindu devotees have an opportunity to offer prayers to the deity when the boat made five rounds in river Godavari. Fireworks also attract the attention of devotees.

The vedic pundits usually take the ’Utsava Vigrahams’ from the temple in procession amid chanting and traditional dances to River Godavari and placed them in the Swan boat. Later the officials and VVIPs offer prayers to lord Rama on the boat.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for Uttara Dwaradharshnam at Kalyanamandapam for Monday. Lord Rama along with Sita and Laxman will give dharshan from 5 to 6 am at Uttara dwaram.

Police made a bandobast at river Godavari and Kalyanamandapam. ZP chairperson G Kavitha, district collector DS Lokesh Kumar, SP Sahnavaz Khasim, ITDA PO Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanth, ASP Bhaskar and other officials participated in the Teppotsvam.
