bangladeshi_hindusBangladesh : Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) received an appeal from the parents of a 17 year old Hindu adolescent College girl who was abducted on 13.07.2015 by two jihadis. The parents have asked BDMW to rescue their daughter who has been forcibly converted to Islam. This incident has happened at Dumuria Upazila of Khulna District.

While the victim girl was returning home in the morning from her College on 13.07.2015, the jihadis Md. Ariful Islam Jewel ( 27) son of Abdul Aziz Biswas and Shohel Biswas son of Abdul Aziz Biswas, with ill motive chased the victim and forced her to board a motor-vehicle and kidnapped her. During this 2 people tried to rescue the victim, but they failed. It is also alleged that the jihadis used to harass the Hindu minor on her way to classes. Her parents had complained several times to the jihadis’ parents, but there was no respite. The father of the victim has also come to know from a reliable source that the jihadis are resorting to illegal means to convert his daughter from Hinduism to Islam.

Mr. Prabir Saha, the father of the victim had approached Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) and requested that his college going daughter be rescued and the jihadis should be brought to book as per law. Shri. Rabindra Ghosh on behalf of BDMW communicated with the Officer in charge of the local Dumuria police station and requested him to take cognizance of such kidnapping. As per BDMWs advice Mr. Prabir Saha lodged F.I.R. before Officer in Charge of Dumuria Police station on 15.07.2015 against the two jihadis.

Along with providing legal guidance to the victim’s parents Shri. Rabindra Ghosh of BDMW spoke with  the Superintendent of Police, Khulna. The SP assured BDMW to rescue the girl. Shri.
