January 7 : Film producer- director Ram Gopal Verma made a statement that Ravana was more superior to Rama because he did not even touch Seeta whereas Rama raised doubts against Seeta.

January 7 : Magh-mela started at Prayag, Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. On the day of Paush-Pournima, about a million devotees took holy dip in River Ganga. This year too, there was mismanagement in arrangements made for ‘Magh-Mela’, reported devotees.

January 7 : Denigration of Sriram, Hanuman and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj made through Facebook pages was once again brought forth.    

January 9 : 26th festival of Sri Matangi Renuka Mandir at Dando, Margao, Goa was celebrated on 6th January 2015, during which, show of a very cheap Konkani play titled ‘Aavayskhatakhatyatalo chano’ was staged. There was disgraceful denigration of Hindu Deities like Sriram, Seeta, Lakshman and Sri Hanuman in this play.

Is Modi Govt. going to take action in such cases ?

January 1 : Few MLAs of Trunamool Congress are in prison in connection with Sharada Chit fund scam and suspicion is expressed over few more MLAs. One MP of Trunamool Congress named Idris Ali has warned that Bengal will be burnt to ashes if Mamta Banerjee, the Chief Minister of Bengal was arrested.

January 2 : Pakistan army fired at 15 Indian posts in the night of 31st December in which 1 person was injured. Pakistan thrice violated ceasefire in 2 days.

January 2 : In Birbhoom district of Bengal, 70 bombs were found and confiscated which were made indigenously. As per the information given by police, in a pond in Sattor village, 50 bombs were hidden in 2 plastic drums.

January 3 : Police informed that 2 persons were injured in bomb blast in Bageria village, Vardhaman (Bengal) and they were admitted to hospital.

January 3 : A Russian driver brutally beat up a bus-driver near taxi stand in Mapusa, Goa for a minor accident. A person who tried to intervene was also beaten up by this Russian citizen.

January 3 : Out of total driving licence holders in India, 30% of them possess fake licences, informed Shri. Nitin Gadkari, the Central Transport Minister.

January 4 : Pakistan once again violated ceasefire attacking villages on the border which resulted in killing 2 soldiers and a woman besides leaving 9 injured persons.

Misdeeds of police

January 4 : On the occasion of Eid-e-milad, a procession was taken out by few fanatics in Lalbaug – Parel and Girangaum area of Mumbai creating pandemonium. The gangs riding two-wheelers teased women and attacked even police raising slogans of ‘Alla-ho-Akbar’.

January 5 : The Central Cultural Department has imposed ban on performing any kind of ‘puja’ at 955 national memorials in the country falling under jurisdiction of Indian Archaeological Survey. Based on this order, even the Home Ministry of Maharashtra issued orders disallowing people to perform puja at national memorials and instructing to provide immediate police protection to Archaeology Department.

January 5 : Fanatics removed picture of India’s map on digital boards and replaced it with picture of mosque on the day of Eid-e-milad in Chopda town (Dist. Jalgaon) leading to tension in the area.

January 9 : Islamic terrorists attacked office of ‘Charlie Hebdo’ a magazine published from Paris and killed 12 persons. The reaction on this incident by Yakub Qureshi, a leader of Bahujan Samaj Party was ‘those who insult Prophet Mohammad will face the same fate (as faced by cartoonists and artists working with Charlie Hebdo).

January 1 : A tempo illegally transporting beef was caught by activists of Sriram Sena at Khanapur (Karnataka). A fanatic named Sadruddin Bepari was carrying beef in this tempo. Sriram Sena’s activists, who had gone to police station to lodge a complaint, were intimidated by police.
