New Delhi : ‘Bharatratna’ Dr. C. N. Rao has degraded ancient Indian culture in an interview given to one periodical. He has rated India’s progress in the field of Science as low compared to western countries and he has given its reason as poverty in India. (During Congress regime, scams worth billions of rupees took place; then how can India be called as poor ? The rulers have deposited the money made through such scams in foreign banks. Scientists from ISRO perform ‘puja’ at Tirupati before launching of satellite. Regarding conducting research on ‘gou-mutra (cow’s urine)’, his response was negative and he said that it would be waste of time. (Utility of ‘gou-mutra’ has been described in Hindu ‘Dharma-shastra’. Research has been conducted on ‘gou-mutra’ in western countries and its importance has been found. In such case, who will like Dr. Rao’s criticism ?
