The office-bearers of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the students’ wing of the BJP, interacted with senior RSS functionary Dattatreya Hosabale here today and informed him about the organisation’s recent activities in Uttar Pradesh.
The meeting took place at the Madhav Sabhaghar.
“It was simply a meeting with sah-sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale and the details of our work over the last one year were given to him,” an ABVP office-bearer said.
Elaborating on such RSS-BJP coordination meetings, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak of Awadh said, “The government usually seeks suggestions from the RSS on implementing welfare measures at these meetings. Issues related to education, internal security, MSMEs etc. are discussed.”
A senior state BJP leader said, “This is the third coordination meeting in the last three months between the BJP and the RSS. The deliberations at these meetings primarily revolve around resolving various issues.” On June 11, the Laghu Udyog Bharti, an RSS affiliate which claims to be the country’s largest MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) network, had expressed reservation on the new industrial policy being launched in the state.
It had claimed that in the new policy, there was no encouragement for the industries which had either closed down or were on the verge of closure.
“Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved the draft of the new industrial policy on June 9. It seems promising for the new industries, but there is no encouragement for industries which have either closed down or are on the verge of closure,” general secretary of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the Laghu Udyog Bharti, Ravindra Singh, said.
“We welcome the policy, but request the BJP government to reconsider certain points in its draft,” he added.
