Since both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry now reportedly practice yoga, Hindus are urging them to visit a Hindu temple to seek blessings sometime after their May 19 marriage at St. George’s Chapel.
Wishing the couple a happy future together, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, said that besides their love for Hinduism introduced-nourished yoga, temple visit would also be a wonderful gesture in view of the growing diversity of United Kingdom.
Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, pointed out that yoga, although introduced and nourished by Hinduism, was a world heritage and liberation powerhouse to be utilized by all. According to Patanjali who codified it in Yoga Sutra; yoga was a methodical effort to attain perfection, through the control of the different elements of human nature, physical and psychical.
Hindus worldwide seemed to be enthusiastic about Harry-Meghan marriage and wished them every happiness on their journey together, Rajan Zed added.
Britain’s Prince Harry (official title His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales), 33, is fifth in line to the throne. Rachel Meghan Markle, 36, is an American actress.
