Three persons were arrested by the Fort Police on Sunday on charge of attacking an activist of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at Sreevaraham the previous day.
The arrested persons, Sai Krishna, resident of Muttathara, Arun and Rajesh, both residents of Sreevaraham, were part of a group of around 10 persons that attacked Jayaprakash, 43, of Sreevaraham, and his friend K. Mohanan at Kappil lane around 8 a.m. on Saturday, according to police sources here.
All three arrested persons are members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
They have been remanded for 14 days.
