AHMEDNAGAR: Ousted Tata Group chairman, Cyrus P. Mistry, who was on Fridayalso sacked from the Tata Steel board+ , on Saturday went on a short pilgrimage to the Saibaba Temple in Shirdi and the Shani Shingnapur Temple,
Mistry first went to the Saibaba Temple in Shirdi. He was accompanied by his wife. They took in ‘a darshan’ of the Samadhi and the statue of Saibaba, the 19th century saint revered by all communities. They were also offered ‘prasad’, said temple spokesperson Mohan Yadav.
After that, the couple took a chopper to the Shani Shingnapur Temple, which is located a 30-minute drive from Shirdi. After getting there around 11 am, the Mistry couple sat on the floor for a pooja conducted by a temple priest, an official said. They also performed an ‘abhishek’ at the 5.9 feet tall stone idol representing Shani. The couple was there was there for 30 minutes.
