Launching of New Postal Stamps Expressing Multicultural and Multi Religious Society
The Government in conjunction with the Postal Department is launching new postal stamps on 21st November 2016, expressing its support towards a multi racial and multi religious society. The face of the new stamp will have the pictures of religious house of worship such as Kapitan Keling Mosque, Church of St Francis Xavier, Sri Kandaswamy Temple, Gurdwara Sahib Shapha and Perak Tong Temple
Penang Hindu Sangam (PHA) fully supports and congratulates jointly both the Federal Government and Postal Department on this innovative move to launch officially the new postal stamp to commemarate and support the multi cultural and multi religious society.
PHA is extremely happy and hopes this will enhance further our national aspiration towards the practice of multi cultural and multi religious society. PHA further hopes that the Government will further develop other new ideas or ways of unifying and encouraging the practice of toleration amongst our kin and citizens.
The public and citizens are encouraged to support the Postal Department by buying these new stamps and first day covers which will be launched on 21st November 2016, especially the Indians, as this will be Historical and will be remembered for ever. There is a great probability that these stamps may fetch better prices in time to come as well as something unusual to keep as remembrance
