Dear Friends,

JAI Hind!

Subject: Why Are We Proud To Be Hindus?

The title of the mail would be self-explanatory. Every child is born is a Hindu and later converted to other faiths.

We are, however, not against any other religion. We respect every individual’s right to choose any religion.

But, Western scholars like Arlnod J Toyenbee or Will Durant had said, Hinduism represents the oldest wisdom, known to humanity and is the mother of all religions in the world. So, it has been well said that Hinduism existed when divisions of humanity on the basis of religion was non-existent.

For being a true Hindu, we do not need to go to any temple. You do not need to recite any verses, you do not need not believe in any particular God.

“You simply have to be true to yourself”. And, Hinduism is global whereas other religions have a local flavour. Summarising all that “We could be true and proud Hindus without believing in any particular God. We simply have to be honest to ourselves”.

So, since we do not disbelieve any religion, we pray:

“May All Become Happy”.

“May All Be Free From Illness”.

“May All See What Is Auspicious”.

“May No One Suffer”.

“May There Be Peace, Peace, Peace”.

Well, Friends, we are certain you all are now proud Hindus, wherever you be. You have to be so. It is cannot upon you to feel to you are proud Hindus.

Om Shanti, Om Shanti, Om Shanti.

Vandemataram,

Your sevak,

D.C. Nath

(Former Spl. Director, IB)

(President, Patriots’ Forum)
